To paraphrase: “This is not just about the bump. It’s about us. About this moment in time, and our relationship”

I grinned from ear to ear when I read this. This is my kind of couple – they get it. Emma and I met a little while back through a women’s networking group which I attend regularly. In fact, she is also a photographer, so perhaps that is why there is synergy and we just happen to be on the same page. She was originally trained as an architect, and a few years ago decided to switch to product and interior photography. Her work is so different to mine, but just as beautiful. I photographed Emma and David’s maternity shoot a few weeks ago at Alexandra Palace park in North London. And what a gorgeous day it was! Crisp, clear, bright and full of autumnal colour – the best kind of wintery days. So we bundled up warm and went for a wander and a giggle.
