Why I Love kids (And You Should, Too!)
Kids. Gotta love em. Here’s why you should love them too:
The tantrums about random things. Getting dressed? Finished your lollypop? Can’t see the cat anymore? Of course, now I completely understand why you are shrieking, crying and having a meltdown . No I can’t magic another lollypop out of thin air, we are in the middle of a forest. Parents, it’s at this point, I am trying VERY HARD not to giggle.
The NO stage. Is your name Emma? No. Do you want to play a game? No. Are you ticklish? NO. Right, we’re just going to roll with that.
Awkward questions. The elephant in the room that no one wants to mention, trust the littlest one in the group to bring up straight away. Honest, hilarious, and heartfelt. Can’t fault them really.
They will play along with the stories. Want to talk about cartoons? Of course yes. Want to hear about the animal that lives inside my camera? Obviously. Want to spin around? Only if you will join in!
They are game for anything. Kids aren’t scared to try anything. They haven’t got to the same point as adults – believing that they are only good at certain things. They just get stuck in, no questions asked.
The ability to melt you with a single cuddle. I went to visit my friend Danelle a few days ago, and her gorgeous six week old little girl. Her little one just snoozed on me for 10 minutes (it’s tiring work being a cute baby), and just like that, I was smitten.
